Estimator
Iron Maple has offices in Dartmouth, NS and Sussex, NB and currently requires Estimators to work in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Reporting to the Director of Estimating, the Estimator is responsible for meeting deadlines while producing accurate estimates for both subcontracted and self-performed scopes of work.
The ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience working as an estimator for a General Contractor in the Industrial, Commercial, Institutional, and Multi-tenant Residential sector within Atlantic Canada. Estimating experience in preconstruction, construction management, lump-sum and design build projects is ideal. They must have a competitive drive, be a team player, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to meet deadlines while producing accurate estimates for both subcontracted and self-performed scopes of work. Additionally, the individuals will be able to effectively communicate and build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Qualifications:
- Technical Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a field relevant to estimating
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an estimator with a General Contractor in Atlantic Canada.
- Fluent in the use of technology, including Microsoft Office.
